Die niederländische Designerin Lotte Douwes eröffnete 2011 ihr eigenes Design Studio in Eindhoven.
Einfache Lösungen, die die Welt um uns herum aus einer anderen Perspektive zeigen, charakterisieren ihre Entwürfe.

„Mir macht es Spaß, den Raum in meine Entwürfe mit einzubeziehen, besonders die Decke, weil es das Raumgefühl hervorhebt. Beim Gebrauch der Produkte kreiert man eine buchstäbliche Verbindung zum Raum und bringt Dynamik in meistens statische Innenräume,“ sagt Lotte Douwes. Gute Beispiele für diesen Ansatz sind die Soft Sockets, vor allem aber die Spatial Vase. An einem Flaschenzug kann die Vase in der Höhe variiert werden.

Studio Lotte Douwes

The dutch designer Lotte Douwes opened her studio 2011 in Eindhoven.
Her designs are characterized by simple solutions that show the world around us from a different perspective.

„I enjoy incorporating the room, in particular the ceiling, into my designs, because it emphasizes the spacious feeling. By actually using the products, one creates a literal connection with the space and brings some dynamism into mostly static interiors,“ she says.
Best examples for that design approach are the Soft Sockets and most of all the Spatial Vase. With a pulley the vase can be adjusted in hight.
