Hinter dem belgischen Designerduo Muller van Severen stehen der Künstler Hannes Van Severen und seine Frau, die Fotografin Fien Muller.

Anlässlich einer Ausstellung in Antwerpen arbeiteten sie 2011 erstmals zusammen. Ihre minimalistischen Stühle und die schlichten Regale in Color-Block-Farbgebung wurden sofort ein Erfolg.

Die gesamte Kollektion von Muller van Severen ist bei Amazing Crocodile erhältlich. Einige Objekte haben wir auch in der Ausstellung.

The Belgian Design-Duo Muller van Severen are Hannes van Severen and his wife Fien Muller, a photografer. Hannes was working as a sculptor when, in 2011, he and his wife were invited to collaborate for an exhibition at a gallery in Antwerp. The minimalist sling chairs and the color-block shelves they created were an instant and unexpected hit.

With both Fien and Hannes being artists, it’s natural that the collection sits somewhere between design and art – it’s obviously „ furniture“ but the emphasis is not completely concentrated on function and suggestts different ways of living and use of space… an uncanny twist in universal forms. There is wit in both artists’ work which follows into their furniture collection – two shelving units become entangled and inseperable, two people are forced into conversation by a double seat.
